escape from paradise

my haven. my retreat. a place where I don't have to explain myself to be understood... a place where I can be myself in order to find myself...

Usually, after shift, I stay around the office for three more hours or so. I'm used to it.... okay... fine.

I should get a life. I know. I know.

Anyway, I actually thought I was really working hard in my new post.

I would stay around to study the processes in our team and I would also study issues/tickets I haven't encountered after shift. I also just wanted to help out my new team mates by staying around the office.

I didn't really think that by staying around longer than my scheduled shift, it would be taken against me or that it would give a bad impression to my boss.

My boss talked to me yesterday to give me some feedback about my performance. And it kind of miffed me up coz he had an impression that I was relying on my other team mates too much and that I wasn't completing my tasks on time which was why I always stayed around longer than necessary.

Plus... after lunch, I would usually doze off or take a nap at my station.

But in my defense, I just want to say that I work 6 hours straight with no breaks. The only time I take a breather is when I'm on lunch. And the only reason I doze off at my station is because I finished all my tasks and responsibilities before my shift is even over.

So there. I'm not a slacker. I never was.

I make sure I don't leave anything unfinished even if I have to work over time.
When I was still an agent, I would stay around even if it was already after shift because I just wanted to keep my other team mates company.
